European leaders clinched a deal

There is no question that there has been a lot of discussion in the media about the European Crisis, and what Germany and France are doing to solve the problems plaguing the eurozone.  Here is an article that I recently came across which will provide you with the update illustrating how they hope their actions “… will mark a turning point in their two-year debt crisis, agreeing after a night of tense negotiations to have banks take bigger losses on Greece’s debts and to boost the region’s weapons against the market turmoil.”  CLICK HERE to read the full article.

Critical illness insurance

I wanted to add some information to this month's eNewsletter pertaining to Critical illness insurance.  I have searched high and low for an article that best describes what critical illness insurance is, and what benefit it may be to you and your family.  There really isn't any one particular article that outweighs the other, but Canada Life gives a nice brief explanation of what it is.  CLICK HERE to take a look at it.

Most people I know have somehow been touched through a family member or close friend who has suffered from a critical illness such as cancer, heart disease, etc. You know the emotional impact such an illness can have on the family, and in some cases, may also have such a financial hardship as well.  To make a long story short, critical illness helps ease the financial hardship it may have on a family, by "...provid(ing) you with a lump sum payment if you suffer from a covered critical illness..."

Charitiable giving during the Holiday Season

The Holiday Season is just around the corner!  Last year was the second year that, instead of sending out calendars to each of you, we had decided to donate the funds to selected charities in your honour.

We continue to receive such positive feedback, that we decided to do the same this year.  Last year we donated to the following charities:

  1. The Salvation Army: www.salvationarmy.ca
  2. Friends in Need:  www.friendsneedfood.com
  3. SHARE:  www.sharesociety.ca

We would love to have your input again this year.  If you would like to see the funds donated to one of the above, or if you have another in mind, please forward your suggestions to info@perlerfinancial.com.  We will be sure to select the top three recommendations to donate to in your honour.
